AsstrA Associated Traffic AG was established in Zurich, Switzerland in 1993. The company started its international transport and freight forwarding activities in 1995. From that time on we develop our business under the brand name “AsstrA”.

Year 1995-1997

• opening a representative office of AsstrA Associated Traffic AG in Minsk, Belarus
• specializing in road transportation of various cargo between West and East European countries

Year 1998

• establishing subsidiary company IP AsstrA-Weissrussland in Brest, Belarus to continue successful cooperation with national transport enterprises
• developing new services – cargo transportation by road from Germany, Italy and France, export deliveries from CIS to Europe; commercial projects for carriers (fuel cards Esso and Aris, mobile communication, crediting for transport enterprises)

Year 1999

• the company AsstrA Associated Traffic AG becomes an international group of transport and freight forwarding companies
• opening representative offices in Moscow, Russia and Kiev, Ukraine
• establishing subsidiary company IP BTL-Beltransline in Minsk, Belarus to provide services for Belarussian customers
• expanding service package with road transportation of goods from Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg as well as in the countries of Western Europe
• insuring AsstrA’s liability as a freight forwarder in TT Club (London, England) where 65% of world container park is insured

Year 2000

• opening subsidiary companies AsstrA Italia Srl. (former ITL-Italtransline) in Bergamo, Italy; UTL-Ukrtransline Ltd. in Kiev, Ukraine; AsstrA-Vilnius UAB in Vilnius, Lithuania to work with national customers and transport companies
• establishing AsstrA’s own transport stock of 20 new Scania trucks with tilt semi trailers and 4 VW small trucks on the basis of transport and freight forwarding company IP BTL-Beltransline in Minsk, Belarus
• developing refrigerated cargo transportation and cargo transportation from Scandinavian countries

Year 2001

• developing new service - intermodal cargo transportation by combined transport means (road, rail and sea) worldwide
• establishing subsidiary companies AsstrA-Polska Sp. z o.o. in Szczecin (moved to Warsaw in 2002), Poland; RTL-Rustransline Ltd. in Moscow, Russia with a branch office in Saint-Petersburg to offer AsstrA’s services on vastly developing Russian and Polish markets
• starting cargo transportation in East and Central Europe, groupage cargo transportation with consolidation of small consignments in European warehouses and their dispatch by road carriers to CIS and Baltics

Year 2002

• opening customs agency AsstrA-Polska Sp. z o.o. in Koroschin at the border Poland-Belarus
• establishing transport company AsstrA-Russland Ltd. in Smolensk, Russia
• starting ship agent’s and port forwarder’s services in Saint-Petersburg, Russia
• developing and implementing ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System in the company group

Year 2003

• opening an affiliate of RTL-Rustransline Ltd. in Ekaterinburg, Russia to deliver full service package in Ural and West Siberia regions where Russia’s major industries are concentrated
• opening customs agency of AsstrA-Polska Sp. z o.o. in Kuznitsa, Poland
• opening subsidiary company AsstrA-Ukraine Ltd. in Kiev, Ukraine
• starting representative activities in Amsterdam, Netherlands for Benelux clients
• opening subsidiary company AsstrA-St.Petersburg Ltd. in Saint-Petersburg, Russia

Year 2004

• entering FIATA – International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations FIATA
• certifying AsstrA’s Quality Management System to the international ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Standard
• opening subsidiary company AsstrA Deutschland GmbH in Magdeburg, Germany to provide services to German clients including groupage cargo transportation, cargo consolidation and warehousing, customs services
