International transport-logistics AsstrA holding has created new operational system on transport orders management. The core of the system is Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) solution that combines the best world practices of the logistics companies’ processes management.

As a result of the first stage of implementation we can see the common centralized platform for the transportation management at the holding head-office in Zurich, Switzerland and at Belarusian branch-offices in Minsk and Brest. The commercial operation has started since autumn 2010.

The second stage provides for the development of the system in all AsstrA holding offices in 10 countries of the world. The new corporate system will make it possible to optimize the transportation management as well as will give the opportunity for the technological development of AsstrA holding in order to analyze information and evaluate prospective directions and markets more quickly and efficiently.

«Today the system on the Oracle Transportation Management basis already makes the process of transportation more transparent, makes it possible to control the stages of the cargo transportation process, to get operative data for analysing and administrative decisions making. The new system in the nearest future will also make it possible to organize the operative coordination with the customers and suppliers, to track the events and status of the orders execution in on-line mode, to get KPI reporting for the service quality estimation, to provide for the electronic document circulation in transport orders management”, - in such a way Frank Mueller, the President of the Board of AsstrA AG commented on the results and prospects.

The implementation is realized by the holding project team in cooperation with the company experts – EBS Partners AG systems integrator.
