Fleet Extension of AsstrA Group of Companies
5 new low-frame road trains consisting of Scania trucks and Schmitz curtain semitrailers having the capacity of 100 cbm of Euro-4 environmental grade were commissioned in July. 2 small-tonnage vehicles IVECO Daily having the cargo capacity of 20 cbm of Euro-3 environmental grade came in force.
In Poznan branch (Poland) fleet of special vehicles for transportation of heavy and bulky goods was extended up to seven units. In October Minsk branch shall receive similar vehicles conforming to Euro-5 environmental grade with a special escort car. It is known that requirements of new Euro-5 standard will become obligatory for transportation in EU countries in 2009.
The company’s own fleet is equipped with satellite monitoring and navigation system. It makes it possible to guarantee the customers real time cargo supervision.
Fleet extension will allow the company to increase its positions in the segment of bulky and heavy cargoes, to increase the transportation volumes of combined and specialized cargoes.
Oleg Grebenko, Transportation Department Director, reported that, “in 2009, own fleet extension will be continued.”
