Secretary General of the World Customs Organisation (WCO) Kunio Mikuriya is to pay a visit to Belarus on 22-23 September, BelTA learnt from the State Customs Committee.

The WCO Secretary General is to discuss the promotion of Belarus’ initiatives in the European integration bodies and other topical issues. Kunio Mikuriya is to hold a meeting at the Government of Belarus.

The foreign guest is to hold talks with Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Belarus Alexander Shpilevsky and other officials of the committee.

The sides will discuss the provision of technical assistance for the development of checkpoints, exchange of preliminary information about goods and vehicles crossing the border between the EU and Belarus, further simplification and harmonization of customs procedures and development of trade.
